Gel Group is committed to the elimination of all accidents and risks to health for all personnel and contractors. Health and Safety ranks equally with all other aspects of Gel Group’s operations and shall form an integral part of all activities undertaken.
Section 19 of The Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 requires every employer to ensure, so far as is practicable, that while workers are at work they are not exposed to hazards and that they are provided with a safe workplace and safe systems of work.
In fulfilling our obligations under the Act, Gel Group is required to ensure Contractors are aware of our Occupational Safety and Health Policy, and, that Contractors are aware of their responsibilities in relation to Occupational Health & Safety.
Attached is a copy of Gel Group’s OSH Employee & Contractor Induction Booklet, a copy will be issued to Contractors prior to their initial contract assignment with Gel Group. At this time it will also be necessary for Contractors to satisfactorily complete an OSH questionnaire in our office (a copy of which is attached).
We trust you will understand that we all have an obligation to Health & Safety in the workplace and that we are required to comply with the Act. Gel Group’s prime objective is to create an environment which shall ensure the health and safety of all personnel and contractors in their respective workplaces.
